Is there anything Coco Rocha can’t do? The beauty is rapidly becoming a one woman wonder – from her impressive career as a model to her unstoppable giving heart to her creative talent as a designer – she’s touched multiple different sections of multiple industries, not just the fashion world.

Now, she’s bridging her writing talents from blogging to books and penned the forward to Jeanne Beker’s new book about modeling called, Strutting It! In two pages, Coco breaks down the stereotype of modeling and explains the reality of the job to the world. She’s posted a preview of the new must-read on her Tumblr, as well as her forward!

Fingers crossed that this is her first motion into writing her own book!

For this seasons ELLE Collections (A bi-annual industry standard dedicated to the catwalk) I was asked by their lovely Editor-in-Chief, Lorraine Candy, if I would like to submit my Paris fashion week diary for printing. If you can, please go buy the magazine, its basically a beautifully put together art book and something you will want to save for years. For the rest of you, I thought you might like to see a little bit of what I wrote about!

Wednesday the 29th of September

The first day of Paris fashion week my husband James and I rented bicycle’s and headed across town to see my old friend Jean Paul Gaultier. Coming to see Gaultier has always been a highlight of my visits to Paris through the seasons. The last time we saw each other, Jean Paul stopped everything to lead me up a series of staircases to watch the sun set over the city. It was like a wild fire on the horizon, so beautiful. This time I was there to try on clothes for Saturdays show and members of the press were invited to observe the process. The great thing about Jean Paul is that unlike many other designers of his stature, he still styles all the models himself. Together we had fun experimenting with different looks and he ended up wrapping bandanas all down my leg as a photographer documented the humble genius down on one knee. (more…)

BERLIN — Germany’s capital is known equally well for its creativity and its all-night party scene. That combination inspired Ellen von Unwerth’s latest photography series, “Berlin by Night,” sponsored by Henkel hair care brand Schwarzkopf.

The German mistress of the lens, known for her erotic images, shot models Coco Rocha, Lydia Hearst, Karolin Wolter and Eliza Cummings inside Berlin’s grittty, graffiti-encrusted Tresor club, a former power plant turned into one of the city’s cult venues for electronic music.

“The club breathes Berlin,” said von Unwerth.

The four models wear trend looks created by Schwarzkopf stylist Armin Morbach and combine high tech and street: the bombshell “Blondage,” a Bieber-esque “Boyfriend,” blooming beehive “Dimension X” and russet sultry “Spice.”

The styles will be used for the Schwarzkopf Looks 2011 visual campaign. Thirty-three additional images from the shoot, which feature the models posing in club scenes with burlesque performers and underground artists, are on display at edgy Düsseldorf museum NRW-Forum through Feb. 13.
