The Decade’s Top Models: Women Who Rocked The Post-Millennial Industry

Jezebel.com ranked Coco #8 on The Decade’s Top Models list.

One of our all-time favorite model bloggers, the Canadian Rocha has been heavily featured in editorials and advertising for companies including Dior and Yves Saint Laurent since about 2006, and once did a jig on Jean-Paul Gaultier’s runway. A favorite of Grace Coddington at American Vogue, she also dyed her hair red at the request of Steven Meisel himself. Rocha, who worked for several long years in secondary markets before making it big, is also one of the few models willing, like Natalia Vodianova, to talk about the industry’s pressures regarding weight. (She herself has used diuretics to stay thin in the past.) Rocha practically has a patent on the open-mouthed, furrowed-brow, angry-cute expression we’ve seen so much of over the past few years.

Coco Rocha and Georgia May Jagger’s London Look

Along with yesterday’s news that Coco Rocha was chosen to star in Zac Posen’s new ads for Fanzine 137 as well as the ongoing obsession that Hudson Jeans has with Georgia May Jagger, yet another brand has fallen in love with the two.

Rimmel London, which has featured Kate Moss and Lily Cole in their ads, just signed their two newest ambassadors, and Modelinia is thrilled that the beauty brand is continuing their model connection.

Coco Rocha and Zac Posen are like a match made in fashion heaven.

The pair made an adorable couple at New Yorkers for Children benefit back in April, when the designer matched his dress worn by Coco with a vintage jacket. Coco gushed after the evening, saying that he was the perfect date, rising each time she left the table and helping her out of her seat.

Now the love affair continues, as she stars in two version of his new ad, which will appear in Fanzine137.

Let the Coco/Zac obsession continue.
